"The difference between a perfect tattoo day and just a good one is when I connect with the client."

Lau came to Old Crow all the way from Valencia, Spain. She got into tattooing out of curiosity: she wanted to see how her illustrations would work on skin. Two years in, her style is illustrative and fine-line, and she likes mixing styles. Right now she'd love to tattoo something to do with the ocean, in black and grey realism mixed with something more expressive.

What she loves most about Old Crow is simple: being part of a team.

She finds inspiration in travels, nature, people's behavior, and the little things of everyday life. She's proud of a recent Icarus piece, mostly because she's proud she decided to do it.

If you're nervous to book: "You can be relaxed, you are going to be so excited after."

She doesn't usually play music in the studio, but she loves La Fúmiga. If she weren't tattooing, she'd want to do something with the sea: underwater photographer, professional diver, or marine biologist. Best meal after a long day? "Bocadillo de jamón. Unfortunately we don't have jamón in California, so, whatever, I love eating."
