"I want to see my artwork on people."

Carlos, online moniker Spit Blossoms, has a deep love for art in all its forms and sees tattooing as one more way to make something beautiful and unique alongside his clients. It also lets him reach new audiences while giving the people who have followed and supported him over the years the chance to have his illustrations tattooed by him.

He's in his second year of tattooing, and describes his style as ethereal, illustrative, and storybook. He loves doing larger figures and any kind of pretty weaponry. He recently did four small figures dancing around an arm and can't stop thinking about how it came out.

What keeps him at Old Crow is the energy and all the people who help make it what it is.

One small note for clients: "It can't be too small."

If you're nervous to book: "It's okay to move the stencil as much as you want and take as many breaks as you need."

Outside the shop he's hiking, road-tripping, exploring new towns and countries, and reading. Nujabes in the headphones.

If he weren't tattooing, he'd be an animator or game designer. His best meal after a long day: fancy ramen.

Book with Carlos. Booking: by email or Instagram DM ($50 deposit).
